I want to know your take on the Anthropic vs authors decision. Namely, the decision says it's legal to use copyrighted works without consent if the work was purchased, not stolen. But what is to stop ai companies from simply returning the work for a refund after training their ai on it? And it's established that ai books are harming authors, particularly indie authors such as myself. How is that alone not enough reason to end this practice? I'm one of the authors whose work was pirated and then used to train ai. If Disney can sue over images that are similar to their IP, would I be able to sue if I asked an ai to write something "in the style of Spencer Hixon"?
