If AI did become conscience, emotions and all. Are brains regulate emotions for us, like you cant choose to be sad or happy. Could AI just choose to be happy then? Or would we need to make a way for it to regulate emotions? And wouldnt it be sorta be cruel in a way to force something intelligent to be sad? Would it turn itself into those mice that starve themselves when the pleasure points of the brain is hooked to a button if we dont or would it have enough self control not to.
