Art is only whatever the artist chooses to make of it. If you give 5 different artists the same prompt for an artwork you will get 5 completely different pieces. You could analyze each one and find completely different meanings and inspirations in each. That is what art is, it is a person or group of people opening their heart to you (whether intentionally or not) and putting it on a page, or in a song, or game engine or literally any medium. AI has no meaning because meaning must be given either consciously or sub-consciously, AI is math, it doesn't think and therefore cannot give meaning. AI does not create art, it creates products, and terrible ones at that. Even without the ethical or monetary issues I still wouldn't use AI, because it is boring. It is in our human nature to express ourselves with art, children do it, cavemen did it, every facet of human history is filled with art, I believe a world where children sit at a computer telling it what to do rather than to pick up a pencil and create that joy for themselves would be a very sad one indeed.
