Personally, I see AI art as a way of filling a blank page, not as a way of creating a finished product. I find it helpful to be able to generate a rough idea of what I want to create. I don't like the idea of actively 'hurting' the AI's development by making glazed art, but for the moment, there is no way of 'opting out' of having your artwork used as a reference- and maybe that's the problem that needs to be solved.
