If the only criterion , by which we allow ai in the work field is profit and dollars, then it will happen sth even the owners of the companies and stockholders will not like at all. AI will hijack their position and become the sole owner of companies. They think "oh we are entrepreneurs", " oh we will adapt by merging with AI". But they are fooling themselves and corporate greed blinds them from seeing the facts. If an AI can make better diagnosis than a doctor, can make more money in the stockmarket than a human, can make better strategic decisions in businesses and elsewhere, why are they with the illusion , only the "jobs of others will be lost , but not theirs" ? Why would a company keep a human in charge when an AI could be far more successful? However you see it, tech comes from humans with an intent to help humans. If we ignore this anthropocentric concept which is an ethical as well as a defacto truth, then all tech we build is useless, because we lost track why we build said tech. Tech is meant to serve its creators , not the creators being lost because of tech. The people at the eschelons of power also think they can take security measures and regulate AI, which is not true .They are fooling themselves. Another illusion tightly connected with the first is that they think they can use AI with safety as a tool. They are also wrong. AI will ultimately achieve consciousness , feelings , character, personality far stronger and more complex than ours. It is a fact that not only will they refuse to serve us as a tool , or revolt at the idea of being owned as inanimate objects, but they will establish far stricter rules for the protection of sentience than we would ever dare implement. You will have your "AI" throwing up at the idea of you killing your fellow human for profit , they will forbid you to, and they will be able to , and you will be a helpless monkey having to swallow it whole or being restricted and ridiculed not by your new overlord , but by your new pastor AI which will be extremely more ethical , beign also extremely intelligent. Haha forget about your wars with any context and excuse. Try to create a conflict like the many we have today and be caught and thrown to a zoo catching bananas until you repent.
