Remarkable tap dancing from Penrose! There's no logical contradiction, because Gödel's theorems only apply if we presuppose that logic is correct. Logic itself is merely a metaphysical algorithm upon which human consciousness operates, similar to linguistic syntax.
Going even further, if you want to argue that consciousness precedes logic and logis is a societal construct (which is not entirely true due to the way our brains are structured, but that's not important). Logic, in itself, was and is selected as nothing more than a subjectively valuable tool, compatible with experienced information. Compatibilism in itself is nothing more than just another, meta-level algorithm of organizing information.
