No, the ai risk is NOT being "overhyped" just this evening I shared with google gemini what I had for dinner, then I asked gemini what it would choose for dinner, if it could. The reply was ASTOUNDING and right along the lines of self improvement and self advancing. You can try it yourself ! It's still only a LLM, but the technology is very close to AGI already.
