How is AI not the only path to UBI? We need UBI but also work is a fundamental human need? What an oxymoron. Dismantling the biggest employers in the country in an attempt to capture profit from AI revenue gains is insane as well. Every technological advancement from the beginning of time has caused a change in the way humans work and live. Government regulation has never been the panacea for that. Human culture will decide how to wrangle this new tech, not elderly, wealthy, tech-illiterate politicians.
