As a disabled Artist thank you for pointing out that the people who are using disabled people as an excuse for Ai are more often times then not, not disabled themselves. I have seen some exceptions, and I'm ussually quick to call them what they are, people who either don't understand ai art, internalized ableists, or people who don't value or understand art. Its ussually one of the three as for disabled people using it. I used to myself, for a brief time, I used ai art generators, some of my older music videos have ai art generated covers that were then altered to look unrecognizable from what the generators gave me by drawing over them myself I was trying to replicate digital colleges and photobashing, I mostly used them for backgrounds, because at that time I did not understand how ai generative art works, and at that time I had been decieved by Shadowversity's video essay (may have spelled wrong) where he claimed ai art is not theft, and because I used to be a big fan of his growing up, and I thought he was being genuine and honest, I trusted his judgement, until later finding out he lied multiple times in that video. And when I found out how the generators actually work I stopped using them, because using ai art generators as an artist is the equivalent of taking a strangers work and passing it off as your own, its wrong. Some of my older songs still have ai generated backgrounds, its only a small handful, I have thought about redoing the images for those ones but my friend told me I should use it as an educational moment, and to show how I've progressed since then, so I took my friends advice and am doing that.
