I appreciate that you have more grace for them than I do. I do not have the patience for that argument anymore because they are simply not listening to the artists telling them over and over again that they weren't born being able to draw like this, that it's the result of years of hard work. I think in a way it's more crushing for them to know that they COULD be drawing like that if they had more discipline and practiced enough, if they didn't give up, so the lie that they just don't have the talent for it and can't do anything about it is somewhat comforting. But I'm just assuming here, I could be wrong. What I know for sure is that 99% of what I can do in the creative field now is not something I was born with it. I had to write literally thousands of pages of outlines and bad drafts to be able to now tell a coherent story. It's not easy, but it's so worth it, and so much more rewarding than telling what an AI to spit out something for you. If someone compliments my writing I know they are complimenting MY skill, my hardwork and I can precisely explain why I wrote everything the way I did and I love doing it.
