I dislike AI Prompters who spam the internet and social media full of their garbage. Sure, I use AI Image generation as well, but mostly as I DM for friends in DND. I use it for tokens of important villagers/villains, as I create my own story most of the time. For maps, I use normal tools, as the layout is important. Since I already spent a lot of money on map-making tools, I just can not afford to hire an artist for over 100 or so tokens. Yes, I need visually different tokens, as otherwise the players get things mixed up, as they need a visual difference. I do not have the money to buy multiple token packs, as I do not earn money from being the DM. But the difference is, I do not post them online. I keep them in Roll20 for as long as the Game goes, then I often delete them, or maybe reuse them. Depending on how the story goes, I write. I still make my own maps and story. I think that this may be the right way to use AI Image generation, for Memes or own use for cases like tokens or profile pictures. I also tell my players if they ask that the Tokens are AI-generated, I do not lie about it. Nor do I think myself to be an artist for being able to write prompts about what I would want.
