Many experts are not as optimistic about the future abilities of AI, and it seems that advancements may already be slowing. Further, it may be that we simply will never have the amount of data AI needs to reach its hypothetical full potential. I'm not as optimistic either. I feel it's useful, but much has been hyped merely for profit and the illusion of growth and innovation. I definitely still think there are aspects to software engineering that machine learning and AI may never be able to touch. I guess we shall see.
