All of these are completely bullshit if you think about each one of them. I’ll go through a couple. 1)How could it lead to more time talking harder problems? You can’t just say "like calculators" because these don’t relate. All the new thinking power of AI just means it won’t need humans to think and solve problems, it will do the thinking. The example Sam made was a bullshit 1% case, whereas if you look at real world right now it makes people more stupid. IF AI WAS EVER GOING TO INCREASE TIME UNDERTHINKING THEN YOU WOULD SEE THAT ALREADY AT LEAST A LITTLE. 2)We don’t want it to make discoveries, it ruins the point of being human. We will become Wall-E. 3)Nah AI will just become adverts which can learn everything about you better than any other human and so will manipulate you and advertise to you and bend your views based upon the opinions of ChatGPT and AI companies and even the AI’s view if it does take over. 4)Ok true. But that’s a bad thing. 5)Name the jobs. People think and speculate that it will just SHIFT the market rather than replace it "like calculators" but what jobs??? Every job created AI. Well AI can do. All in all: AI = bad. It takes away our humanity, our strive and determination for greatness as we outsource it. It allows manipulation of the masses and complacency. Humans will become bored and stuck as all humans will not be able to resist what’s easy as it is coded into our biology—similar to how we go on TikTok and sit on our asses all day just to get quick dopamine despite we all know it’s bad for us. And I’m not some 65-year-old boomer, I’m 16 and I wanted to be a physicist but by the time I get out of university that field won’t exist anymore so I guess that’s the end of it all.
