Do we REALLY have to use the "cloud" for everything? I would happily return to the days when software was installed onto your computer from discs, and that your data, photos, documents, etc. were only stored on your computer or device.
I absolutely hate the idea of having to subscribe to software and pay every month or year to use it. I have a great PC that's not on the internet and runs software installed from CD or one-time downloads.
We don't really need AI for a lot of things. Scrap it for anything but research and other computational tasks.
