Every useless lawn needs to be converted into either vegetables or hay to feed livestock.
This would put millions to work and our food supply would be more redundant and healthier and safer because there would be more distributed.
Artificial intelligence could be used to help people manage their cropping or haying day by day. I could see in the future there's going to be family farms with a brutal AI overseer making people pick berries 18 hours a day while they're in season. That's going to be pretty scary is we're going to all going to have AI bosses hitting us with shock collars when we don't make our production goals.
