The concensus tends to think that the AI companies will be well off or the companies that use AI will be better off but how can they be when the masses are dead poor and cant afford said services/products. A healthy economy relies on trade.
I think Universal Basic Income is the answer. I dont think people need a job to derive meaning. I think the people who work menial jobs wished they just didnt have to. There are plenty of recreational activities and entertainment that will keep them distracted.
The curious and intellectual people will continue to advance society while the labourers of old can finally rest.
