All visual art is "theft" imho. Getting mad about AI just makes me think people are all about credit and getting paid. If art is your day job, be creative and learn to integrate it as part of your workflow.
Most professional portrait artists trace a photo projected onto a canvas.
How often do you think they tell their client they use a projector or ask for proof that their client paid the photographer for the copyright to the photo for reproduction?
Print shops on amazon will take any art work you can upload to put it on a hoodie or mug with no compensation to the artist.
And you think AI training off publicly available work is a huge problem? This is the crusade you are going on? It seems silly AF to me.
