The title is a little click-bait'y. He could have just as easily called it "AI could allow the working class to produce the same goods and services with half the time and effort". That really gets at the fundamental driver of the AI revolution - massive productivity gains. And people should not loose sight of the fact that a society's standard of living is directly tied to its productivity. He is spot on that the standard work week will need to be reduced so that the reduced number of jobs are shared among workers. There is no doubt that AI is going to be disruptive nor that governments are going to be challenged to ensure that no segment of society gets trampled.
