I have to really disagree with the guest, as a engineer & former neurobiologist.
1) I have serious doubts that AIs really have any sense or goal of TRUTH value. These are LANGUAGE PRODUCTION MODELS. They produce language people find easy to consume. They don't "know" what a fact is.
2) They are ALWAYS roleplaying. They're NOT trained to make discoveries. They're trained to PRODUCE LANGUAGE.
3) They don't understand humor. They don't understand anything. They just PRODUCE LANGUAGE PEOPLE FIND HUMOROUS OR INFORMATIVE.
All the stuff you're talking about , knowing or having humor, that's what people project on the LLM . The LLM is just doing statistics .
