There is something I keep thinking about. So, OK, AI is going to replace us, robots will do our jobs. Good. But the end purpose of all businesses is to sell the end product. Who will buy it, if people won't have jobs and so no money?
No company can generate money out of thin air. They need to sell. Sell to whom, if there is almost no one to buy?
Universal income sounds a bit like an evolved version of comunism. Are we ready to change our society in such a fundamental way? Will it work? And what are we going to do all day? And we won't have any way to earn more money if we want?
Plus, even if universal income is going to be implemented, there will be a period of transition when many people will be without jobs. It will be very, very difficult.
