The discussion of anthropomorphic raging triggered a flashback to 1968: I was helping my dad on an engine. He was using a worn out crescent wrench that ruined a bolt head. He started screaming at the wrench and thew it against a cabinet, which toppled over, spilling oil, etc. He left me to clean it up.
I learned to use proper tools and, BTW, felt compassion for my wrenches.
