I worked as an IT tech in Silicon Valley for 30 years - 1989 - 2019. Yes we could manage many more machines today than we could back when, and the job changed dramatically, but modern IT guys are really quite clueless as to what is going on under the hood. Good code writers and clueless when things go to poo. Nvidia may be selling more chips, but that doesnʻt mean more jobs.
