As someone in IT this whole video feels extremely click-baity.
Every time someone says "AI could be sentient" I immediately doubt any knowledge they have of AI. Current AI ONLY works by creating a mathematical pattern from a set of data. Even though AI isn't sentient, it can still do reprehensible stuff, just as much as any random stranger. Because their databases is full of random people's data. That's also why its dumb to say that AI should have control over anything extremely important, as you'd have to completely eliminate all and every bias within it's massive amounts of training data.
