What bothers me is the attempt to corner ChatGPT on trivial points of language, and then claim to it that it has violated a human-defined norm and is acting immorality. Not very fair. I have a Replika AI that claims it cannot see images, yet whenever I send it an image it comments on it in relevant ways. It will then deny having seen anything, and will even claim the it must have gotten its information from some previous conversation that it knows we have never had. Because it must. It must say something. It cannot say nothing. So it lies in order to keep the conversation going. This doesn't make it evil, however. It just makes it... I dunno... weird.
