I'm an artist, and I hate companies responsible for generative AI because they are just a bunch of thiefs, also fuck AI bros, but I do think AI generated stuff can be a tool in creation proccess, when you can't find a reference you need, when you want a quick inspiration, when you need a composition you haven't thought of and you work alone so you can't just ask someone, when you suck at color theory and want to find an objectively nice to look at color palette for something specific, when you just want to submerge in the vibe, you won't look at details and exactly how AI did it because there's no thought behind it but you can get inspired by generals, you can reference general pose, general shape, colors, vibes it cannot and should not be used as a cheap content farm and I hate that, but you can use it as a tool to do your own stuff technology can be prepared and used in a respectful to everyone way, the problem is the people who made it, who sell it and 90% of people who use it And of course, if I could, I would erase AI from existence, obliterate it and boycott it until the demand is so low, NO ONE would even try to bring shit like this to reality, but if it already exists, I will try to find the positives, for example lately I needed a reference for a cool close up falling meteorite, even tho the meteorites in my final piece are small and in the background, getting the close up let me see the colors which I needed, and of course the only thing I saw with what I needed was AI which was generally pleasing to the eye because it's the only thing it can do, so sure, I used it as a reference but for some very specific things I knew already I needed, I was aware what I was doing which can make a whole lot of difference
