I also get annoyed by the idea that just because the computers can do everything that runs all the industry and the infrastructure society that then we as human beings have no damn value. This thinking is kind of degrading in itself because essentially it basically discounts the fact that we are living organisms and that we have Spirit we have mind or whatever you want to call it and that is intrinsic value in itself just like for instance you look at a grassland with wildflowers or whatever, the first thing that should come to mind or usually does come to mind is how beautiful it is and what a wonderful it is to have this in nature well the idea that we cannot regard ourselves in the same way I think it's just simply insulting. I would just as soon have the machines do all these crappy ass jobs and let's just simply use Ubi or quantitative easing or fiscal policy or whatever to guarantee an income for everybody because of the fact that they are in the robots can do everything. Sure the AI might do a whole lot of stuff better than that than us but there's all kinds of other things we can do.how about just simply loving each other how about basically having time with your husband and your wife your grandparents and so on and how about just simply getting together as a society and thinking about what we want our wonderful technology to do? Imagine a world in which it doesn't cost hardly anything to do most things that are just prohibitively expensive right now. Imagine thinking about creating a von Neumann probe that actually has a ram scoop that sucks up the solar wind from the sun and transmutes it into other elements that we can use to build O'Neill cylinders or ring worlds.. These are things that are infinitely better than just simply having our lives evaluated and valued because we can go and do some damn stupid job then a reality a computer can do a million times better than us. So we need to change our thinking you know we have more value than just simply a piece of machinery because as long as human beings are evaluated only based upon what we can do for a living well then we're essentially nothing more than biological machines in a fucking you know giant COG. let the computers let the AI do all the crappy stuff so that we can finally live and especially if we have radical life extension we can live really really well for a very long time. This is what we should be thinking about not worrying about whether or not we're going to have money because after all we know one thing is that money is nothing more than digits in the computer is like Ben bernanke basically stated that after 2008 all that we had to do was just simply enter digits in the computer add numbers to bank accounts will that same idea will work about a thousand times or a million times better when we live in a super abundant world in which machines can make everything and artificial intelligence can make them better than ever. Let the machines do all that so that we can be more human.
