Ok, I was with this until he said that in serious research they are not arguing about if the AI will turn bad, but when. That is patently false. It is a point that some people in serious research have taken and are running with (like Yudkowsky), but it is not the only idea, and is not even close to being the most prominent one. Are there reasons to be careful, sure. Is this just a waiting game until we all die or are turned into pets, well, that is literally the most pessimistic way of looking at something, and is not the singular shared understanding of the tech at hand.
