Frightening but currently no where near true. Large language models have plateaued and can neither think or create new abstract information outside the data they hold. They are enhanced search engines at best with a massive error rate. This may well be a future tech but I cannot see any real ai in development or even close to it. The real danger is the economic crash due to the billions being pumped into this industry on the promise of unlimited returns. Currently there is no tangible product close to development. Once the market realises this and fed rates tighten. The debt will be seen for what it is and share values will unwind violently. Won't be pretty. Current ai can improve some individuals efficiency by some percent. But it cannot replace any job or fundamentally change the economy. And won't for a long time to come. Don't panic just yet....
