realistically the problem isnt the program. its the people. were looking at it like the machine is bad. but people made the machine. they told it to steal art and a spit out a shitty copy. im vehemently against AI image generation but i dont necessarily have an issue with AI assistance. it helps alot with photography in that, you can essentially click a command that with automatically use tht spot healing brush or something. it can save time correcting levels. this doesnt have any practical application in art. thats all AI should have ever been is an assistance tool and not a replacement. the issue is that anyone can then use those to do bad things. AI video is basically the new "doctored image" and it comes down to "are people using this for good, or are they using it for bad" - the issue is that doctored images never caused millions of people to lose their jobs
