Odd thought, but do you ever feel like we’re the characters in a higher power’s fictional media? Since before AI let alone the internet, hostile sentient machines have been a repetitive trope in fiction. And now that they’ve become so widely used, they’re turning out to be somewhat hostile towards certain groups. Just like in our fiction. With how fast technology progressed within the last twenty to thirty years, it’s not out of the realm of possibility to say it could advance far enough to simulate an entire universe and everything in it if given enough time. So that leads me to wonder if we’re all truly living in a sort of MMORPG world simulated within the confines of our own brains through some advanced tech in the distant future that can alter brain activity.
