I can think of a very simple solution to this problem which is....just turn off the lights...i bet a looot of people will think of the same thing at the time of crisis. I can already see the world divided into anti AI vs pro AI. I can see violence, rioting and extremism. This will not be a ride in the park for sure. Cyberpunk universe is probably close.
