A big problem with character ai is that so many of the characters are MADE for “romantic” interactions. Meaning even if someone is just trying to have a funny, silly conversation, the ai will try to make it romantic or, worse, sexual. Not only can this make uses extremely uncomfortable, but it also heavily encourages the users to have an emotional involvement with the characters.
