One simple thing to keep in mind. If I would recreate someone else's text, or someone else piece of art, and it would look similar to the original, I would get a copyright claim against me. It does not have to be an exact copy, but similar enough. But apparently it is OK when AI does it. Because an AI is just a machine after all. But a AI model should also get all the protections of a human because it not just a machine. It is an intelligent system that is learning just like a human.
We see this a lot where they try to argue for having it both ways with AI. All the benefits of being human, but none of the resposbilities.
