The fundamental danger isn't the AI itself; it's us. An AI is a tool, a powerful amplifier of intent. It won't wake up and decide to be "evil." Humans, driven by greed, fear, or the desire for power, will be the ones to forge it into a weapon.
The real, underlying challenge has always been human nature. We have a history of turning every powerful discovery into a potential weapon. But just as AI can be the ultimate weapon in the wrong hands, it can also be the ultimate tool for healing and progress in the right ones. It holds the potential to help us solve our greatest challenges and build a better world.
So, the ultimate question isn't whether we can control AI. The question is whether we can finally learn to control ourselves
