Perhaps the real problem is a belief that we live in the simulation. If it is a simulation, what is the point in any of our values? Why would you Roman try to save this world? To prolongue the game? What if Sam, who most likely believes in the same thing, is investigating the AI because he just wants to be a winning character, or he believes that his creation can help him escape the simulation and join the creators. Who cares about the rest? Btw, i have heard multiple times in these kinds of podcasts how young men who took psychoactive substances have seen a wall of numbers. I wonder if the indigenous person who took the same substance should share this type of hallucinations, or do they see a talking eagle? Don't just believe in things that are easier for us to understand?
