I’m surprised that someone who built his career as a science communicator doesn’t feel threatened by AI. After all, AI can already explain concepts with clarity and precision.
But here’s what’s missing in that perspective: AI lacks humanity. It can mimic tone, but it doesn’t have lived experience, judgment, or the ability to truly read people. That’s why the highest earners in fields like sales aren’t just solutions experts, they’re exceptional communicators who understand relationships and humans.
You can be brilliant in science, law, or math, but if you can’t connect and communicate it, your knowledge doesn’t spread. And what society values most is knowledge that can be shared.
