Yeah I don't know, a lot of the code it writes still isn't optimal or optimized for performance the way I want it. You still have to have a deep understanding of programming patterns to get the one out that you need for your specification. I had a mid level I was in charge of hand me some pooling code of a project we're building together, I had the AI try and review itself and see if it could find ways to make it more optimized and generic. It didn't really solve the problem in the way I was looking for, and for the most part just said it liked the code I was looking at. Until I fed it specifics about how to use generics, it didn't really want to give me what I asked for.
We'll see, I'm still a bit skeptical, I think it's a great tool that has massively improved my productivity, but I'm not sold on it increasing exponentially in terms of its value nor replacing tons of people.
