AI does take some work, not a lot, but it does take some work. What does a tool do? It lessens your workload. When someone uses photoshop is that considered cheating? I can use photoshop despite never learning photoshop. I can still remove stuff from an image, and let photoshop use its old "content aware" to fill it in. I can download all kinds of masks and effects that other people made, and use them in my 'art'.
Taking a picture with a camera used to be changing a ton of settings to get the perfect picture. I don't know much about cameras but you had to cha ge focal length, iso, contrast, etc. Now all of that is doen for you.does thay mean all those people aren't photographers anymore?
I used to have to walk around the whole house cleaning the floor. Now I have a robot vacuum. It's a tool. It does the job for you.
AI is just a more advanced version of that. I know there are issues with consent, but that's a company issue not an AI issue. There are AI companies that only use consented material to teach their models
