I'm an older art guy who makes art for shows and art fairs. This is just something I do on the side and is more about being part of a club than anything else. I do make some money from it though but the money isnt my goal.
When you take the money focus out of it, It makes sense to embrace AI. Bouncing ideas off of it in the art making process is alot of fun and personally, I think you have way more control over the finished piece when you start out making an AI mock up / reference.
