One problem is AI is trained on existing art. However so are humans. Yet if I make a painting using the syle of StaryNight and add an Escher inspired building It's my copyright no questions asked. If I craft A 2 page description and feed it to an AI image generator what about then. I see the prompt same as I would a 2 page short story, my copywright. Yet some would say the output of the program isn't copywriteable. Some would even say it's 'infringing' the copyright of it's sources a.k.a. what it learned from. Or is it a work for hire and my copywright. We need to sort this out, yet unfortunately this non trivial and requires dipping into some deeper questions.
