If people have a hard time thinking abstractly. You need simpler analogies, Sir Roger.
Does a calculator THINK that 2+2 = 4 because it knows it to be true or does it just compute it because it is true... Most people would understand that just because a calculator was correct. It wouldnt be sentient. ChatGPT or insert any LLM tech is more or less a calculator 2.0.
