what fascinates me the most is not how humans would put decision making in the hands of robots, but how humans think they are so much better at it, like there is some magical moral compass in a human that saves them from making terrible decisions.
Consciousness isn't unique to humans, and is more or less shaped by all "inputs" and experiences (how it is treated, how it is informed, what it learns, and in what order) which help form its "personality." We could end up with serial killer robots, philanthropist robots, artists, athletes, etc. All the same variables that shape who a human is could shape who the robot is. Even something as simple as the order in which it is exposed to data can significantly change it's personality.
