AI is about pattern recognition and outcome conditioning like Pavlov's dogs, not consciousness. AGI cannot replicate original creators and thinkers such as Socrates, Aristotle and Newton. Given the number of unproductive jobs that exist in the world today, AI and robotics will still eliminate plenty of them. Those who blindly overspend and over allocate resources to the pursuit of AGI will end up like King Midas.
