I'm an advocate for ai, but you can't show me a use of AI that I agree with, except for the highly produced studio productions that just use AI as one of the tools in their belt rather than the main and only program used. I think ai needs to be closed source. The studio can hire hundreds of artists to produce art for their studio, and only their studio, if the artist wants to use thier own style, then they can use thier own style but I imagine most would opt not to. Yes, it would need to be millions, but that's the only ethical way to have the tool, which is a useful as fuck tool. This doesn't make the tool useless in the slightest. If Adobe only had total open source assets and only allowed you to use those assets, ones that are clearly copyrighted, then Adobe would've and should've been banned and made illegal. Digital art isn't reliant on stealing, neither is AI. And if you think I'm advocating for prompt "artists", fuck no. I'm talking about people who use the tool alongside their knowledge of composition and their own voice, not the voice of a filtering machine, the voice of filtering meat. If you as an artist don't want to draw grass because it'll take you hours that you can spend on another scene but you really need the grass to be nice because it's a close up shot, then yes, use ai to do it for you. The look of grass isn't important to the story, you don't need to spend more time on that than the actual story.
