Hey Sam, great video and I've been hearing a lot about this lately at my job & evermore online. I'm a software dev and work closely with data image processing solutions, and I've been having the same discussions with my artist counterparts about these same issues recently and wanted to share some of our discussions, hopefully they could be worth something. The biggest concern for artists & their jobs is to be sampled for profit where they can't compete or get proper royalties, and also that AI will be so good, that there will be no need for a human to correct the image post gen. From what I've remembered in my talks with artists on this and our experience with the tools, is that this is going to be far more of a tool for extreme artistic creation than it will be a tool for artistic displacement and I hope I can explain why properly. One very funny simple example I'm sure you're aware of are the fingers of some characters it is generating are more often than not very oddly positioned which will in turn need an artists touchup. This issue is related to a human centric meaning of general context that most everyone understands, but computers can't comprehend. For the past few months, we've been writing some in house solutions for our artists to be able to use stable diffusion local instances to use alongside their Photoshop instances, and our artists say they'll never go back. It's completely changed the way we're generating images by training each instance on our in house assets and it's saving our artists so much time between iterations. Where we see a true issue lies in how far of a reach the AI has when it is training the gen model. The larger and more intrusive the dataset, the more generally preformant the AI tool is, but it normally requires more data to sample naturally. If only there were a way to sample & gen cheap to the end customers but also reward the individual artists for their art being sampled like royalties... ;) It's going to take some time for the AI revolution takes full swing, but we're at the beginning stages now, and there's genuinely no stopping it
