I really enjoyed the talk. Anyhow, it made me truly sad to see such a smart person to be so naive about people's intention and their choices.
As an Iranian, I can give you a comprehensive lecture on why understanding the dark side of AI and knowing its destructive power would never stop many people from trying to have the upper hand in the field. Sadly!
