I think it's easy for a famous, well off celebrity to be optimistic for the future, where he won't be replaced by AI/AGI. But things don't looks so rosy for the bottom 90% of society.
We don't have AGI yet, and it seems like half the new channels I encounter on YT are now AI voiced. When I call for support from my cellphone company I can't even talk to a person. Why hire a human when I can save 99% of the cost and use a machine?
This is not like past technology shifts that hit an industry. This is something that can drastically reduce the number of people needed in all industries.
In the past people moved up the value chain when technology increased efficiency of lower level tasks.
But when we have advanced AI, let alone AGI, it will move beyond humans in the Value chain. It can read more inputs simultaneously, compute faster and more accurately, doesn't need biological breaks for sleep/eating/exercising.
There is no next step for human workers outside of celebrities, and super rich capitalists that control the machines.
