I have a masters degree in English, own a digital marketing company and have been in the industry for 20 years. I also used to teach English at FIU. This kid is lost if he thinks his momma's English degree makes her special. I litterally have clients that pay me more than $2,000 a month to write blogs for them using AI that take less than 5 miuntes to crank out and that I have not copy edited in almost a year... clients sing my praises for "writing" such well researched articles. By 2017 Apps allowed me to do the work of 14 marketing proffesionals. Before Chat GPT, I was working 60 hours a week to take care of 15 clients. Today I have more than 60 clients and struggle to work 30 hours a week. AI is 100% replacing the jobs these kids are going to school for RN. I have a good friend who is a marketing proffessor who keeps asking me to guest lecture and my response has always been, "its a waste of time. By the time they graduate, nothing I could tell them would even be relevant anymore." He refuses to belive me... this is why he teaches while i crank out a figure living.
