All these private companies developing AI is just a variation of the Ancaps wet dream of personal defense nukes.
At some point, we need to start treating AI development the same way we do Nuclear Weapons and have the government take over. All research and testing is done within government facilities and any private citizen or company or rogue state trying to create or procure AGI will get slapped down with force.
