Thank you Sasha for speaking up for artists and protecting the environment. The tech world NEEDS more women, people of color. It must be more diverse. As society we have glorified 'the mind' for way way too long. And now we are facing the consequences. I'm a performing artist and voice coach and definitely feel the impact of the insanely rapid speed of AI development. While a lot of people may think, "wow how convenient. I can get an AI to present for me, an AI to speak in a different language using my face, or an AI to do a voice over, etc. etc' YES. for now it is convenient, and you are benefiting from it. But, just like how drugs or alcohol maybe a short-term solution for deep wounds, constantly relying on AI for everything creative will destroy your spirit and your soul. Because it is in the very act of learning a new language, developing your vocal abilities and exploring ways to increase your natural confidence that we as humans grow, connect with each other, learn new things and ultimately experience what it actually means to be HUMAN. That is how we feel joy. So if this is what all of society is gonna start doing....outsourcing creative endeavors to a machine, I honestly worry for us.
